Alright universe, I get it. 8am is the time to get to the gym when it's not crowded, not 9. Because people who work real hours and have to get to work before 10 (ahhhh the life of the arts administrator) work out at 7, not 8. Ok, I get it. Now who has tips for how to not snooze the alarm for 45 minutes?
Got in some cardio and ab work this morning. I really do enjoy working out in the morning, and very often use working later than planned as an excuse not to work out. Just have to work on getting out of bed now...

First post-Bikina workout of the week. Interesting to see what is sore this time around- hamstrings and triceps and abs- oh my! I cannot figure out what time I can go to the gym and not be bothered by other people. Who are all of these people working out at 9:30am? Shouldn't you people be at work? Wednesdays are MY late day at work- it shouldn't be yours! Get off my machine!

In today's edition of Monday's with Bekina (von Hottie's clever nickname for my trainer), we used the flying machine. Or those TRX suspension things. Very different kind of workout, especially since much of what we've been doing has been weight training and there were no weights being used today. Except for my body weight, which is more than any weight I've been able to lift so far, so there's that! Good news was that Bekina said she noticed improvements and some toning happening which is great, and I've been able to notice and actually understand how to get tension and force out of my shoulders and into my abs. Baby steps, baby steps.
